CONVERSE PULL SNEAKERS FROM MARKET

The Converse shoe company is pulling its sneakers from the market after complaints from parents and others.

The new sneakers had come in red and blue, with matching bandanas, but for some, those represented gang colors and symbols, and considered wrong for young people to wear.

Converse released a statement, saying, "To be responsive to any parental concerns and community sensitivities, we have decided to immediately discontinue the sale of red and blue versions at our retail partners."
